Education.
Tipping the Scales Research and Rescue was founded with the purpose of connecting students with science and wildlife. We use over 200 different reptile, bird, fish and insect genetics to teach biology and genetics to 5th grade through 12th grade students. We take advantage of the highly visual and colorful traits of our animals to illustrate how genes react to one another. The animals we breed in our projects become pets of the students, and our customers. In many cases the animals bred are featured in projects with other classes. The sale from the animals bred in our projects continue to aid in the care for and research and rescue of the other animals we work with. Your donation contributes to the funding of these projects and the development and welfare of the animals associated with our organization.
Research and Rescue
Tipping the Scales Research and Rescue has a mission to provide shelter and care for any animal we are able to rescue. We focus our attention on reptiles, birds, fish, and insects, because we believe they are under serviced in terms of rescue. We work provide food, shelter, and vet care to all of the animals we take in. Rescue animals are rehomed or used for education or research purposes. Your contribution will aid in the welfare for all of the animals in our care. We also conduct genetic research for the better understanding of the health issues and genetic properties of the animals that we work with. Your donations will help progress our work to research and rescue the animals we are dedicated to.
